Bill Clinton Not Appearing In The Hangover 2?

Back in November TMZ reported that former President Bill Clinton was in Thailand shooting a cameo for this summer’s The Hangover 2. They even had photos from the set with President Clinton.

Now there are reports that President Clinton might not have a cameo in the film. MTV recently spoke with Ed Helms who played Stu and he says:

Check your sources. He came and visited us, but I’d be surprised if there’s [a cameo in the movie]

It’s an interesting situation.  How often does the former President of the United States go and visit sets of films and in a foreign country? The travel logistics alone with his security would be a nightmare. I wonder if Helms is trying to downplay the cameo to surprise the audience. Cameo’s work best when it’s a complete surprise.

Either way I’m still looking forward to seeing The Hangover 2 this summer.

True Blood’s Joe Manganiello The Frontrunner To Play Superman

Since Zack Snyder was announced as the director of Warner Bros. reboot of Superman there has been talk that True Blood’s Joe Manganiello was the frontrunner to play Clark Kent and the man of steel Superman.

It looks like the rumors are heating up again. Ministry of Gossip reports the following:

At last week’s Academy Bake Off, a celebration of visual effects in film, talk around the room (especially from the team working on the new “Superman”) said Manganiello kept popping up in serious talks about a new face for the franchise.

I know there has been talk that Warner’s wanted to go with an unknown and while Manganiello isn’t exactly unknown, he’s not the most popular actor around either.  His name has not brought the same resistance like Jon Hamm but he doesn’t have his supporters like Smallville’s Tom Welling.

Personally I don’t think Manganiello is the right choice to play Superman. I watch True Blood and while Manganiello is not a bad actor, he’s not right for Krypton’s last son. He might be able to pull off Superman, there is no way he’s believable as Clark Kent, he’s just too big for that role.

I am a Tom Welling supporter. He’s played the role of Clark Kent for 10 years now on Smallville and has been progressing in this last season to become Superman. Its only natural that he would play the role on the big screen.

Who do you want to see as Superman?

Kristen Stewart Playing Snow White

Deadline reports that Kristen Stewart is the favorite to land the role of Snow White in Snow White and The Huntsman.  Unlike other Snow White films The Huntsman will not just let Snow White go off, he will be her protector against the evil queen rumored to be played by Oscar winner Charlize Theron.

Deadline notes that many young actresses have tested as Snow White but Stewart is the favorite. Makes perfect sense, she’s a great actress outside of The Twilight Saga and she looks the part of Snow White. I’m hoping she lands the role opposite Viggo Mortensen.

Viggo Mortensen Will Play The Huntsman In Snow White And The Huntsman

While it looks like Viggo Mortenson will not be starring in Universal’s The Dark Tower he will be playing the Huntsman in Snow White And The Huntsman for Universal reports Variety. Mortensen beat out actors like Tom Hardy (Inception) and Johnny Depp for the role.

Snow White and The Huntsman is not the typical Snow White story. Instead of letting Snow White go the Huntsman is on the run with her and will be her protector from the evil queen who is rumored to be play by Charlize Theron.

Michael Fassbender Will Be An Android In Prometheus

Heat Vision reports that Ridley Scott has casted Michael Fassbender to play an Android in Prometheus. There are no other details about the character at this time for the talented actor other than he’s an Android. Fassbender had long been rumored to be joining the prequel for Alien, so this is not a total surprise since Prometheus was originally supposed to be the prequel.

Prometheus stars Noomi Rapace and is directed by Ridley Scott. It’s set to invade theaters on June 9, 2012.
