Alexander Payne (Sideways)  is set to direct Nebraska for Paramount Pictures. Payne has been circling this project since 2004 and it looks like it’s about to become a reality.

Darren Aronofsky Writing A Comic Book With Movie Potential

Before Christopher Nolan was hired to revive the Batman franchise Warner Bros. was looking at Darren Aronofsky. Aronofsky’s vision for Batman was not in line with Warner Bros. Aronofsky’s Batman would have been a hard R with a lot of violence.

Aronofsky looks to be making a new version of his hard-hitting and violent superhero himself. Right now this won’t be a film but instead Aronofsky is not going to make a film but a comic book of his “very hard to film script.”

Talking to Clothes on Film about the project he says:

hasn’t really been announced… But we’re getting there. We’re doing a comic book of a script that’s really hard to make and we’re going to do a comic version first and see what happens.”

This isn’t the first time Aronofsky has gone the comic book route, he did this with his film The Fountain.

Spider-man Will Have Mechanical Webshooters

I loved Sam Raimi’s first 2 Spider-man films as well as Tobey McGuire as Peter Parker/Spider-man. I have been very vocal that this reboot starring Andrew Garfield being a bad idea. One of the few critiques I had about Raimi’s Spider-man movies was that Spider-man’s webshooters were biological instead of mechanical webshooters created by the wall-crawler himself.

Emma Stone talking to MTV at the Golden Globes confirmed that Spidey has a device that allows him to shoot his webbing.

I admit that is pretty cool. I like that Marc Webb will bring the webshooters into the film and paying tribute to the greatness of the comics.

Bruce Willis Talks Expendables 2

One of my favorite scenes in The Expendables was the scene with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone and Bruce Willis. It was short but sweet with 3 of the biggest movie stars working together and delivering cheesy but fun dialogue.

Speaking to Access Hollywood at the Golden Globes Willis says:

Apparently it’s going to happen this year.

On whether he will be joining the cast:

As far as I know, barring any unforeseen circumstances, but yeah, I would love to be a part of it.

I liked the Expendables and am looking forward to the sequel.

Matt Damon Still Wants To Play Jason Bourne

The next film in the Bourne series is called The Bourne Legacy, Tony Gilroy will be directing but Matt Damon and Jason Bourne will not be in the movie.

Right now nothing is known about The Bourne Legacy, rumors are that James Franco will be starring in the film.

As we know Matt Damon let the project because Paul Greengrass no longer wanted to continue with the Bourne franchise.

Speaking to the The Hollywood Reporter Damon says:

I really hope it’s going to happen. It’s really up to Paul Greengrass, the director. I’ve always said I won’t do it without him and I think it would be a bad idea to do it without Paul.

I really like the Bourne films, especially the Bourne Ultimatum. Greengrass is a great director and did a fantastic job with the last 2 films so I understand why Damon feels like he can’t go on without him. Hopefully Greengrass will decide to direct another Bourne film with Damon.
