Orson Welles’ Final Film To Finally Be Released

Orson Welles, one of the most important directors to ever helm a film had a very tough time in Hollywood after Citizen Kane final film is finally going to get a release.

The Other Side Of The Wind, a film that centers on the last hours of an aging director played by the great John Houston has never seen the light of day. It has been unedited and in legal limbo since it finished production in 1972. It looks like the film is finally going to get a release. Los Angeles lawyer Kenneth Sidle tells The Observer:

We are in negotiations for the picture, which would lead to the finishing and public exhibition. Hopefully within the next few weeks we will know

Danny Houston, John Houston’s son says the film is “absolutely fabulous.” Houston says that his father gave Welles many notes on editing the film.
