Robert Pattinson In David Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis

Everybody’s favorite moody vampire Robert Pattinson has been casted in David Cronenberg’s upcoming film Cosmopolis, the adaption of Don DeLillo’s novel. Pattinson is replacing Colin Farrell.  No reason has been given on why Farrell is no longer with the project.

Pattinson joins Marion Cotillard and Paul Giamatti.

The story of the film centers around Pattinson’s character, a rich asset manager who rides around Manhattan in a stretch limo just to go and get a haircut.  Unfortunately there are obstacles in his way such as celebrity funeral, a presidential motorcade and anti-globalization demonstrations.  If that isn’t bad enough the whole time he’s in his limo he’s worried about the repercussions of a risky investment.

Obviously very different from Twilight.  I’m not much of fan of Pattinson but I applaud him for trying to do something other than Twilight.
